What started as a chance meeting at a dance hall in Austin turned into a love story we never could have planned. He was visiting Texas for work when we met, and we hit it off right away. We spent the next two weeks going on dates, getting to know each other, and realizing there was something special between us.

When it was time for him to return to Oregon, we knew we wanted to see where things could go. We stayed in touch, and before long, he invited me to visit him for a long weekend. I got to meet all of his friends and fell in love with Oregon’s beautiful trees (and, of course, him!).

Over the next several months, we made long distance work, taking turns traveling between Texas and Oregon whenever we could steal a few days together. Between airport trips, weekend visits, and countless memories, our relationship continued to grow stronger.

About a year and a half after we met, everything came full circle when he landed a job in Texas. With the distance behind us and our next chapter ahead, he popped the question, and I said yes!

From a dance hall in Austin to building a life together, we couldn’t be more excited for what’s next. We’re so grateful to celebrate this next chapter with all of our favorite people and can’t wait to share our special day with you!
